"At a certain point you recognize that you don't understand a thing, and you experience a moment of surrender. The paradox is that, as soon as you surrender the need to understand, you do understand; and the moment you think you do understand, you don't understand." ~ Gangaji
We have been taught over & over by the mainstream world & then by the "new age" and alternative communities to seek answers - to use our minds to solve the problems of life. Yet if we are fortunate, the time comes when we realize that all of our efforts have been in vain & we really don't understand the perplexities of life anymore than we did decades ago. Sure we can talk a good talk, and some people can even walk that talk...the one of the spiritually enlightened ego. But I find more & more that it is the ones who speak of the inexplicable mystery of life, which is truly only met in the present moment, are the one's who move my soul now.
So sitting in the thick of the uncertainty of life without trying to solve it or fix it or plan your way out of it is quite possibly the scariest thing we can do. Especially if life has answered our prayers seeking a deeper truth - the prayers that don't want to be whitewashed with one more delusion. So what happens next? Perhaps the more important question is what is happening right now???
