The Sacred Rushing

Speed of Light by Jeanette Amlie
Today I encouraged myself to allow divine grace to flow into a rather mundane activity I wasn't looking forward to....and I ended up having a serendipitous conversation with someone who has been having a plethora of odd symptoms that doctors can't figure out. When I suggested that it might be her heart & soul trying to speak through her body to facilitate conscious transformation, her disturbing symptoms began to disappear.

So many people are now experiencing this confusing situation, which is often pathologized by the most well intentioned medical and psychological professionals. That is why Blue Earth Awakening is here - to help us open to the power of transformation without pathologizing the often unusual side effects it can produce! And as we share honestly with other people we begin to find that there are actually a lot of people out there feeling the same way.

As we open to these experiences more and more (without getting lost in the phenomena be it painful or blissful) we allow the energy of life to move through us more freely. Ironically, as we do this the energy often speeds up and gives us more opportunities to open even further. The length and severity of this process is in part directly equal to the level of resistance we hold against it and often times we find that it is in the wake of some of the most challenging situations that we finally surrender enough to really allow this divine grace to rush though us completely (or as completely as is possible at the time).

Yes the ride is often times scary and overwhelming, but we are never alone in this journey, whether we are conscious of it or not. So call upon your divine Source for assistance and then tune into your inner sense of presence to find the deeper truth that always abides here. This inner awareness is the door to our Soul's most natural expression. And as we surrender to this divine grace there is a sacred rushing that cleanses body, heart & mind of the story we have clung to for so long.

Sending Blessings of Grace & Support to all who have consciously accepted this invitation to awaken to the Truth that Abides in All.

To Comply or Defy

In our relationships we all strive to find ways to comply with what we have been taught to believe is good and right in order to get the love that we need. We also consciously or unconsciously find ways to defy and rebel against what we have been taught in order to gain independence and self reliance. For many or most of us, the vacillation between these two extremes comprises the bulk of our human existence.

So then what does it take to resolve this conflicting habitual response to our world and our lives? Unfortunately, or fortunately, it often takes a crisis or period of pronounced suffering to somehow break through this patterned response enough for us to see it and realize that we are exhausted from all of the pushing and pulling. This is when our willingness to inquire into the true nature of who we are and what is here can be the most fruitious.

Throughout my journey into self discovery I have come back to some basic processes over and over again to assist me when I reach these fulcrums of opportunity. Ideally we can simply stop what we are doing and pause long enough to feel into what we are experiencing. Ideally this is enough to allow divine grace and the breath of conscious awareness to allow the old pattern to shift and transform. However, if you are like me, often my circumstances or abilities are not ideal and I seem to need something more to help me invite this deeper shift to occur.

So I offer this little exercise to assist in exploring this inner terrain which I call Integrating Polarities.  Although this is not a quick fix or long-term cure, this and other techniques can help defuse this build up of outmoded energy and allow us to entertain the processes of conscious self-inquiry wherever we are. So today I offer it to you as a gift to our collective consciousness. May we discover the liberation that has been here knocking on the inner door of our awareness all along.

Opening the Flow

Today in my meditations I felt a sudden shift in my perception around our ability to "be in the flow" of life. I have often heard our struggles referred to as if one is in a boat on a river & we are paddling upstream against the current and becoming exhausted by the effort. Yet today what felt far more deeply true is that I am/we are the river itself....we are this flow of life. By turning our attention toward this life energy we can encourage it to flow more freely.

Often the trials and travails of life tend to cause us to dam up the flow until the pressure builds sufficiently that we cannot stand it anymore. Then the dam blows and a tidal wave of emotion and energy surges through us, threatening to overwhelm us. And some of us actually begin to thrive on this vacillation of energy, whether it be through sports, drama or addictions, it is easy for us to get sucked into the extremes of excessive activity followed by sickness, fatigue or depression.

But today I saw that by taking time to simply bring our attention to this life force energy we can begin to open the levy in small increments, as if turning on a faucet. Our bodies and minds can become acclimated to the increased flow without the drama of the extreme fluctuations. For as exhilarating as it can be to have profound breakthroughs and blissful highs, we often come crashing down in their wake only to find ourselves struggling even harder than before to reach new heights.

The exercises offered in the anxiety self-help section are designed to help gently open this flow of life energy, this river that not only flows through us, but is us, flowing through the world. For ultimately this flow of life is the Grace of God itself. Yet the exercises can only go so far if our thoughts are still bound up in fearful beliefs and limiting conditioning. So giving one's mind regular time-outs to pause from the constant deluge of thoughts is also required to nurture this open flow. For our bodies respond to our thoughts, just as the world does, and just as God or Divine Source does. So today let us begin this new year of 2013 by attending to this flow of life that we all are and encouraging it to flow freely without the little mind's need to limit and control it.
