Yet it is also possible to use our current life circumstances to serve the call to freedom....true freedom - which is not circumstantial. This can indeed seem like a paradox, but so often I find that my limited ego/bound mind simply cannot see the bigger picture. And our circumstances are always part of that bigger picture. So I find that it's important not to get mired in despair when things seem dismal. This is when it is important to give ourselves some quiet spells where we can let go of the perceived struggle and relax into that larger flow.
I cannot say if there is a specific, pre-determined purpose to each of our lives, but I can say for certain that they are all filled with purpose in a larger sense. So I often prefer to use the word "Purposeful" rather than purpose when talking about life's meaning. For often it is only our ability to see and appreciate the interconnectedness of all things to become aware of the purposefulness that all life holds.
So take time in the midst of your sorrow or suffering or struggle to survive to dive down below the surface. For that greater sense of life's purpose is always here even when we can't see it. And in time the Soul will always find a way to make it sparkle through the depths so our eye catches the glimmer and we reach down through the shadows to reclaim it once again!
